A native Greenvillian, I was nurtured in the faith at John Knox Presbyterian Church. I met my husband of thirty-five years there and we are proud parents of two wonderful children and two beautiful grandsons! I graduated from Clemson University and worked in Marketing and Public Relations until I became a stay-at-home mom. I remained active in many aspects of the life of the John Knox Church and was ordained as an Elder there in my late 20’s.
As a teenager, I felt a call from God to “do something special” in the church but, growing up in the South in the 70’s, I had never seen a woman minister. As a result, it took the Lord quite a while to convince me to follow this path but ultimately, I received a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary and was Ordained as the Chaplain of the Presbyterian Community in Easley, where I served for over 15 years.
As Interim Minister of Nazareth Presbyterian Church, I am excited about the things that are happening here. We have a welcoming church and opportunities for worship, fellowship, study, prayer and service for people of all ages.
As a minister, it is my goal to continue to faithfully seek God’s call and to serve in a way that helps others find that we can be authentic in our faith and relevant in today’s world.
I would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have about the family of faith here at Nazareth or our denomination in general. Serving God and God’s people here is truly a joy.
“Above all, maintain constant love for one another for love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
